  • After wrapping Bubby up nice and warm against the cooling evening temperatures, we took a quick brisk walk around the corner from the hotel, where I found myself at a very busy Fiskeriet, one of the few fish markets still in Oslo's city centre.

  • Langosch am Main is what I'd call a funky little number. It is also unabashed about endorsing the consumption of alcohol and the revival of face-to-face conversation (ala Die! Mobile phones! Die!) - making it my kind of place, if I wasn't breastfeeding.

  • It turns out that despite being German residents, my sister and her husband had never been to Frankfurt before and were devoid of any eating recommendations. We frantically punched away on our mobiles to search for something close by and Ding Ding Sheng popped up.

  • Pig’s Ear Wine and Grill is not quite the posh romantic restaurant for a date night, but it certainly looked swanky with its handcrafted spotted gum furniture, green rendering on the wall and copper curtains, which to some might exude rich elegance that would spot on in a really nice bed and breakfast in England.

  • If you haven't tried Korean Fried Chicken, you are really missing out. Korean Fried Chicken is apparently a huge part of modern South Korean culture and is cooked twice, so the batter is crunchier and less greasy. They also use smaller and younger chickens, resulting in a far more tender product. So where did we go for our Korean Fried Chicken that night? Kyochon Chicken on Beenleigh Road in Sunnybank Hills.

  • Eating out can be a bit of a challenge, but we’ve been tackling it by either asking to doggy-bagging the leftovers or sharing one large meal between the two of us. And Ribs and Rumps is the perfect place for the latter.
