Banneton Bakery is by no means a new player to the hospitality game, but we have consistently missed opportunities to sample their wares from rushing around like headless chooks fulfilling weekly chores. • We rolled up to Alcove Café and Deli, a little quaint gem hidden round the corner and out of sight from the main road. They might not be a full deli you could come to associate with the word, but they still offer quite a variety of goods and breakfast.

  • Driving through Hawthorne, the row of old fashioned wood deck chairs out the front of Bungalow 4171 caught Ainead's eye. We parked down a suburban side street to see what they had in the way of breakfast.

  • The SO and I have cycled past Double Shot Espresso heaps of times, but never stopped in.
