Beer brewing monks at the Benedictine abbey of Andechs
Posted on August 9, 2011 | No CommentsMy sister's fiance was absolutely adamant we visit the Andechs Abbey. He swears the monks there brew some of the best beer in Bavaria. It would be seeing as they have been brewing the same beer since 1455. -

Lohhofer Volksfest 2011
Posted on July 18, 2011 | No CommentsLohhofer Volksfest had just about everything the Brisbane Oktoberfest has: the small carnival of bumper cars and sideshow games outside, a central tent with ceiling streamers of blue and white, men wearing lederhosen, women wearing dirndl, massive 0.5 and 1 litre steins of beer, and Bavarian food by the planetary dish full. -
