This week has had some amazing highs and exhausting lows in our household. Little Mister and I caught up with friend Lilian and son Jay for a morning at the South Bank parklands, and the boys had a blast! The water was a touch cold, but it was sweet relief from our hot summer days in Brisbane.
Unfortunately Little Mister picked up a bug: a runny nose, phlegmy cough, crusty eyes and a slight fever. He’s been a real trooper and thank goodness for modern day medicine, we’ve been able to manage all the symptoms.
So this weekend might be a quiet one… perhaps spent in the air-conditioning at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre?
RSPCA Pop Up Adoption
Our Mister adores animals and we would love to include a furry family member to the clan in the future. If you are looking for a furkid and have some room for cuddles, RSPCA Pop Up Adoption will be back again at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre this Saturday.
The RSPCA will be bringing in hundreds of dogs, puppies, cats and kittens from across their Queensland centres for you to meet, fall in love with and adopt. You won’t need to swipe right. *wink*
Lifeline Bookfest Brisbane
Bibliophiles, rejoice! It’s the first Lifeline Bookfest of 2017!
It kicks off this Saturday 14 January till Thursday 26 January at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The fundraising event supports the 24 hour Lifeline 13 11 14 crisis line and entry is free, so any purchase you make will be going to a good cause.
Come on, I dare you not to walk away with a trolley full of treasures!
