[Perth] Hawker’s Cuisine

My first visit to Hawker’s Cuisine was a mere three years ago, but oh, have the times changed.

Hawker's Cuisine

For one, the new digs are extremely spacious. No more large 10-seater round dining tables cramped between the two pokey levels of dining – the new Hawker’s Cuisine location is one expansive floor of dining with lots of space between to navigate a pram. No wonder it was still popular with extensive Asian family gatherings.

But here’s my confession: I really wanted to come back to Hawker’s Cuisine to share their Marmite pork ribs with the SO. They were THAT good.

And I’m glad to report they were still on the menu, and as good as I remember. These salty umami crunchy pieces of pork are super moreish and definitely worth coming back for. Don’t worry – the Marmite flavour is quite subtle.

We also had the homestyle tofu claypot with generous thick slices of pork belly, served piping hot on top of a burner at the table – a great tummy warmer.

And of course a simple fried rice to carry everything else through.
