Oslo: Aye Aye Club

It was our first evening in Oslo and we found Aye Aye Club not too far from our hotel. With the sky still ridiculously sunny for the time of day (hello land of the midnight sun), we trooped over to grab some dinner.

My first impression is that the pirate themed Aye Aye Club is more a bar than a restaurant, but the service was friendly and they also had an English menu. Their drinks menu was much more impressive than their food one, which seemed dominated by burgers.

The burgers were not quite what I expected – the buns were a square of focaccia, but the fillings were fresh and mine was certainly tasty. Portion sizes were also not terribly large for the price, but we soon came to expect that things in Oslo are pricey.
