Peng You China Kitchen and Bar Officially Opens and Happy Chinese New Year

Disclaimer: I attended this function as an invited guest of Peng You China Kitchen and Bar and Lucid Media.

It’s that time of year again when if you’re Chinese, the phrase 新年快乐! is recited as loudly and cheerfully as ‘Merry Christmas!’ in December.

恭祝大家 ~ 恭喜发财 ~ 马到成功 ~ 马上有幅 ~ 马上有钱!
(this is essentially wishing you prosperity and success in the new year, with a pun on ‘horse’, cuz… you know… it’s the year of the horse)

And if that’s not enough of a reason to celebrate, Peng You China Kitchen and Bar threw an amazing celebration to mark their official opening at Gasworks, complete with Tron-style lions and dragon to scare away evil spirits and welcome the new year.

Here’s a little peak at what we saw at the party!
