Nachos (small). AUD$7

Byron Bay Chilli Co.’s OzyMex Cafe nachos are warm corn chips with pinto beans, nacho sauce, cheese, sour cream, green onions and your choice of spicy sauce. Mini size come as AUD$7, while large is AUD$9. Add beef, chicken or fish and the price is AUD$9 for a mini and AUD$12 for a large. Don’t worry, you can also get these as vegetarian and vegan options. Served warmed via a microwave so the cheese is melty, it is the perfect treat to savour with salty sea air and sand between the toes. Ask to take it away and they will pop an extra container over to the top to keep it safe till you have found your perfect spot.

As for the sauce, they range from a mild salsa picante, to a medium heat with Fiery Coconut, Spicy Sweet or Green Jalapeno, to hot with the Smokin’ Mango and Red Cayenne. Or if you dare the Heavenly Habanero is the extra hot sauce.

Of course the menu includes a lot more than just nachos, even though they appear to be the most popular. There are soft tacos, burritos, salads, enchiladas and quesadillas.
