The weather is cooling quickly in Brisbane and there is so much happening, my head is spinning like a top! While I cannot decide which event to attend, here are a couple I’ve been stalking and have me excited.

Red Robin Supper Club Brunch

Red Robin Supper Club presents: Brunch! on Sunday, April 14. It is their first foray into daytime dining at Italian restaurant La Finestra in Camp Hill.

Desserts are supplied by L’Miao Bakery and include Nutella Crack Pie, Peanut Butter and Jelly Cake, and Pear and Honey Cake. If the crowds get too busy (and I expect they will), L’Miao Bakery will be taking pre-orders for half and whole cakes if you let them know by today (Friday, April 12).

GYG’s Cinco de Mayo

Guzman y Gomez’s biggest celebration of the year is just around the corner… Cinco de Mayo!!! GYG will celebrate Cinco de Mayo (Sunday,May 5) by offering $5 Burritos, $5 Burrito Bowls & $5 Coronas (where available) at every GYG restaurant that is open for trade – click here for trading times, licensed and non-licensed restaurant information. If you haven’t tried GYG yet, I highly recommend their barramundi bowl/burrito.

Online ordering and online catering will not be available during Cinco de Mayo.


Caxton Street Seafood and Wine Festival

Caxton Street Seafood and Wine FestivalIf seafood is your thing, then the annual Caxton Street Seafood and Wine Festival will be up your alley.

The festival is on Sunday, May 5 and while the program isn’t out yet, I’m already hearing the hum of whispers from all directions about what might be going down. One thing is for sure: regular punters will be expecting a bash!
