I made my first ‘101 things to do in 1001 days’ list in 2003 and a second one in 2008. While I never completed more than 60% of the tasks on those lists, I am really proud of the challenges I did achieve. It’s a fantastic motivator to get off my butt and do something, because it is a little more task orientated than a set of New Year resolutions, but a little less ‘forever’ than a bucket list.

There are a number of communities and websites to help keep you on track, including the Day Zero Project and Mission 101.

Since it’s been so long since I last did a ‘101 things to do in 1001 days’, here’s a new one I started in 2013. Fingers crossed I will do better this time and keep updating my progress here.

In the meantime, have you ever done a ‘101 things to do in 1001 days’ list before? How did it go? I’d love to hear from anyone who’s made a list and how you felt about it.

Start date: 1 January 2013
