A reflection on 2012

Sunset over Moreton Bay

At the end of every year, I often look back and reflect on how big that year has been.

2012 has been no exception – in fact, it has been bigger than most years.

In 2012….

I’ve been published in GRAM, a foodie magazine. We went on our first sailing adventure into Moreton Bay. I ran my first giveaway. I began my addiction to Black Milk. I took the plunge and talked about my cancer. We visited Adelaide for the first time for me to speak at the Adelaide Beauty Bloggers Conference and again to attend the Eat Drink Blog conference, where I met so many new people and enjoyed every minute of it. We drove to Sydney for a short getaway. We’ve attended a number of events and dining at several establishments.

This has meant some things have had to take a backseat and others have forged on ahead that has left my head spinning. But that’s life, right? The fun never stops and even the bad stuff – they are lessons learnt and adds to my wisdom.

And I couldn’t have done any of it without a loving family, a generous husband, reasonable in-laws, amazingly awesome friends, my health, an income, a home… I am incredibly grateful I have all these in my life.

I look forward to the next 365 days. There are so many ideas and goals swimming in my head, that I can only hope there is enough time to do any of it. And to share it all with you, because it’s been amazing reading comments and emails from people who share the same passions (and randomness) as I do.

So thank you for a wonderful year and here’s to the one ahead!
