Jamie Oliver inspired Empire Roast dinner

Jamie Oliver's Empire Roast dinner

Jamie Oliver’s Jamie’s Great Britain is currently airing on Channel Ten and I caught the Leicaster episode, where much of the cuisine has been India influenced.

His Empire Roast Chicken looked absolutely divine, but I was not that keen on making a whole chicken and gravy. So I used the same ingredients as a marinade for the steak and omitted the fresh coriander from the Bombay style potatoes, as I had run out.

Marinating the steak 24 hours ahead in the fridge resulted in one of the most flavoursome pieces of meat. This recipe is definitely a keeper and I cannot wait to try this one again, this time with a whole chicken.

The next Jamie’s Great Britain episode airs on Channel Ten tomorrow night at 7:30pm (Brisbane time).
