Bright sunny mornings are meant to be savoured and being a touch too lazy to cook up a Sunday breakfast, we dropped into Pablo for a bite to eat. We have seen a healthy clientele and figured if everyone else is loading up on breakfast there, they have to be doing something right.
Pablo uses locally sourced, free range and organic produce, which is a lovely change to our usual routine. Their breakfast menu includes some amazing dishes I could not wait to try and was spoilt for choice.
We started with some coffee, which was really good – not too weak from too much milk, frothy and smooth.
I had the seasoned avocado on sourdough toast, which was amazing! The toast was crispy toasted and thickly slathered in avocado mash. The grilled haloumi could have been larger, but that is just my greed talking. The portion size is perfect and wiping the plate down of the mango salsa added a shiver of zing.
The SO had the lemon & thyme homemade baked beans, speck bacon, free range fried eggs on sourdough toast, which looked enormous! He thought there was too much baked beans, but otherwise everything was good.
Someone at the next table had ordered the caper and herb marinated Tasmanian smoked salmon, dill scrambled eggs, seeded peasant toast and smoked tomato compote, which the SO eyed and promised he would come back to try.
