Lunch at L’Affiche, Paris

Before taking on Basilique du Sacré-Cœur, we were in desperate need for some grub and stumbled on L’Affiche quite by (happy) accident.

Salade de chèvre chaud

I had hoped that the salad would be light, but hot goat’s cheese, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, fried potatoes, cubed bacon and walnuts makes for a very filling meal. And the chef was very generous with the bacon. It was more than a fistful and the €13 price tag was well-worth it.

Oh, what I would give to taste that warm goat’s cheese again.

Lapin à la moutarde

And after the SO’s poor meal selections the day before at Le Bistrot 30, I encouraged him to go with something a little more ‘exotic’ – slow cooked rabbit in a mustard sauce, served with pasta (€14.50). The rabbit was absolutely divine and fell off the bone like silk.
